Not sure what to make of this and dont know what the sqaud is for but on cricinfo under the Kenya tour to Zimbabwe series the following sqaud has been listed
http://www.cricinfo.com/zimvkenya2009/c ... 24847.html
Prosper Utseya (c) Graeme Cremer, Elton Chigumbura, Charles Coventry, Trevor Garwe, Kyle Jarvis, Hamilton Masakadza Stuart Matsikenyeri, Chris Mpofu, Forster Mutizwa (wk), Ray Price, Tatenda Taibu (wk), Mark Vermeulen, Malcolm Waller
Sean Williams
It doesnt say if the sqaud is for the ODI's or the Zimbabwe A side in the four day match, either way it is confusing.
If its the sqaud for the A game why are the likes of Hamilton Masakadza, Ray Price and Elton Chigumbura in it.
But if its a national team sqaud where are the likes of Brendan Taylor and Ed Rainsford and why are Malcolm waller and Kyle Jarvis who is not even playing for a franchise in it
BAFFALING!!!!

That sure is a squad and a half
The main question is, was this squad chosen by cricinfo after a liquid lunch break at cricinfo HQ, or by ZC after an even longer liquid lunch break at ZC HQ ?
If there is any truth in this at all, then there are a couple of players who could maybe do with a run out to get some form before the ODI's, Mark Vermeulen, Charles Coventry, Malcolm Waller, but having names like Hamilton Masakadza, Elton Chigumbura, Ray Price is just plain silly unless the idea is to try and hammer Kenya before the ODI series. I like the idea of giving Kyle Jarvis a go, does he still play cricket though ? is he in Zim ? are cricinfo just plain wrong ?
I wonder if Graeme Cremer knows he's the Player/Coach .....

That news bit is not there anymore. They have woken up, obviously

Re: Confusing Zimbabwe sqaud put up by Cricinfo
A Zim Team without TIMYCEN MARUMA is not a Zim Team to me. This is a probable squad!!!!!!
CHRISTOPHER MPOFU: 'The problem was fear of failure. I used to think that when I played, if I didn't do well in one game, I would lose my place for the next one but now I've let go of that'
Re: Confusing Zimbabwe sqaud put up by Cricinfo
Zimbabwe has annouced two teams. The one with Taibu, price, creamer and others is the first team., Maruma , and jarvis are in the zimbabwe national team and the Zimbabwe A team. Sibanda, chibhahba , rainsford and mupariwa have been dropped.Mpofu, manyumwa, jarvis , garwe and taibu are in the National team

Re: Confusing Zimbabwe sqaud put up by Cricinfo
taylor and waller are in the squard.Waller is a bit lucky tu survive the chop, his performances of late heve not been great.I would give Greg lamb a chance instead of waller. The names were released by the canadian press agency a few hours ago.Sorry I cant download the link.
