I agree! And the good thing is, he's only 16 at the moment and will turn 17 in February this year. He was the quickest of our seamers and bowled at 125-130 kph consistently.
Wow I didn’t realise he was that young, definitely something to work with.

There was a drop in the quality of our seamers compared to the last edition. I wonder where that all went wrong I know Mangongo left the fastest bowler they had at home after a typical bust up. He was praising him saying he is bowling at 135kph at 17 then next thing he leaves him at home. Letting his emotions overpower his intelligence will always be Steve's downfall.

I’m Just convinced about Mangongo people will argue Zimbabwe lacks discipline and he’s the man to instill it, but the secret about coaching is not to discipline the players but to get the best out of them. If you’re getting the player to put in and perform to his best you’ll find he’ll discipline himself.

Our seamers were dire when compared to the others on show. In the junior ranks it’s strange that no-one is encouraged to bowl fast. When I was a youth there was healthy competition amongst the schools to see who had the quickest bowler, and there were a number of them, many weren’t that accurate which made it even more alarming when they bowled one unexpectedly on the money. There are a few guys with potential and they should be encouraged to bowl fast from young, but they all seem to trundle in and focus on line and length. One of the problems is T20 when there’s a time limit and they all bowl off shorter run ups and there’s merit in taking pace off the ball. It’s the same as batting, they need to find these guys now and make sure they try and bowl fast with a safe action. There’s a youngster at St Johns in Form 2 that really gives it the full welly, he’s damned quick for his age, and quite hostile.

Agree completely, bowlers with raw pace should be supported, not discouraged.
