They own every last aspect of it and run it like their own personal fiefdom, and the soul of everybody in any position and they have the players by the throat. Hence they can do and say as they please with no repercussions whatsoever other than attacks by inconsequential people such as ourselves on this forum.

Ultimately these are the actions of a very weak and insecure administration, that knows it is incompetent and struggling.
A highly successful, competent and popular administration would have absolutely no reason to ever publish a vile diatribe such as this. It is the work of those who are full aware of their own incompetence and unpopularity; desperate to divide and rule to ensure their own longevity despite their continued misgivings, underachievement, failure and unpopularity.

Worth reading the replies. Almost unanimous condemnation of this disgusting 'press release', from whites, blacks and asians.
Of course one of the single only people in support is 'Frank', who almost certainly actually wrote the article himself!

It feels to me that the tried and tested ‘the whites are out to fuck up blacks’ myth is starting to grow very thin to a mainstream population that is both young and doesn’t really believe it anymore.
It only gets agreed with when there is an agenda to manipulate and mainstream black Zimbabwe are growing tired of getting manipulated and lied too when things never get better.

The hatred is alarming. It goes beyond just them pushing an agenda that they're the custodians, this is some deep deep shit.
Re: The many silences of Heath Streak
We are all Zimbabwe cricket fans, at least most of us are, so we follow all the stories very closely and we know what happening.
But just imagine for a neutral outsider, who reads this article, it will come as a shock, ZC have literally become a laughing stock for writing such things against their own players and giving such a terrible example of unprofessionalism.. I visit some other forums where the feeling is that Zimbabwe cricket is just a lost cause and that nothing here is right. Can't blame people for thinking like that.

Re: The many silences of Heath Streak
To think that this man did his matchfixing in Indian club cricket, long after he retired from playing or coaching Zimbabwe!!. This situation is a god-send for any organisation with a half-competent PR department. Simply say, the man is a legend, will always be treasured here HOWEVER he ran into issues over there…that sh*t ain’t got nothing to do with us but we wish him well. End of story.
But these clowns can’t help themselves. To play the devils advocate, some of these older black cricket hopefuls have always felt hard done by, having grown up in what used to be an almost exclusive “old boys club” of the 80s and early 90s. Some feel like they were not given a fair shake to make it as pros. However, it was clear that even the “old boys club” was gradually and methodically opening up to black cricketers. Ken Flower literally took it upon himself to scout, recruit and train the likes of Mwayenga. The likes of Watambwa, Nkala, Madondo we’re gradually being integrated into the team. It was a slow yet effective process. But when the sh*t hit the fan, the Mawodza types took the reigns and took a bunch of black players who weren’t ready, and thrust them into the deep end. Long story the short, most of the players never matured and retired with zero tons in +100 ODIs as specialist batsmen, proving the “old boys club” right.
All this vitriol is one of a bunch of underachievers who proved themselves wrong and are now clutching at straws to rewrite history, framing Streak and Brendan as these unmitigated failures, just to make themselves feel better about themselves

I have seen documentation and annual reviews from the early 90s and perhaps even late 80s wherein the admin was stressing the need and budget to try and get more black players in. Not to mention the Flowers who mentored Taibu etc like you said. This whole systemic racism thing against black platers is a myth in zim cricket. Ive asked for evidence of it and oive never seen it. ~
No doubt there is a player or two whos made a racial jibe but thats not something you can link the whole organisation too.
I sometimes think white player and admin just doing their own thing and minding their own business is comsidered racism and exclusionary.
As for this Streak thing,
A competent organisation would do exactly as you just said.
Failing their support they could have:
1. Done nothing. Much better than inserting themselves to look like 2 year old brats or 14 yr old teenagers who are angry at streak for stealing their gf or something.
2. Set a short one paragraph statement to disassociate themselves from the saga, and if they really wanted to be cheeky in a progessional way just say something like 'ZC does not condone the actions and findings against Streak and stand for integrity' this and that. Short, professional and to the point.
Instead we get an essay that made them look worse.
