Even for ICC events ZC will announce the squad on the morning of the first game?
Usually all squads announced 5-7 days before the tournament starts so hopefully we'll hear soon, although we have a pretty good idea what the squad will be - Willo, Welly & Ngarava in but no other major surprises or changes. I guess the main question is who misses out.
Yeah we really need to avoid them if we can. HK/PNG aren't as strong as they used to be so if we get them in the final qualifier match we should be fine. But I'd worry about having to beat the Netherlands. Anything could happen.
Is it just the field in Namibia but the tri series there, all teams are scoring quite big. That's a bit worrying. We usually never do better than 150 and considering everyone is getting to about 170 plus, surely they are not as weak as we thought.
Also, why are all the other teams playing matches and warm ups, and we are doing nothing. We could have surely arranged something with one of the other nations, or even an SA developmental squad.

Yup! It is common sense that they organize at least a short tri series or 2-3 games against any associate side prior to the tournament. It is quite shame that small associate teams are able to organize warm ups but not a full member nation.
I think they are playing internal matches currently. There are around 20 or more players in Bulawayo currently, including surprising names like John Masara. Munyonga is there too. I think the final squad can only be 14 players so it seems likely the other guys are there to facilitate intra-squad games.
ZC had organized a number of matches with Namibia, Nepal, and South Africa A.
Those were mix and match squads and the matches were played some time ago. Going into a major tournament, you need to be playing with the players who will most likely be in the team> This way you get your match ups right, iron out any kinks, ensure that you have your combinations correct. and are able to identify clear plans.
