3 wickets in 3 overs from Brad Evans kills off any chance of this!secretzimbo wrote: ↑Sun Nov 27, 2022 12:46 pmImpressive escape act in the cards from Rocks here. Might they do it?!

Such poor conversion rates from our batsman, so many half centuries but so few go on to make three figures.

Talented no doubt, but I can’t remember a worse introduction to test cricket since Marvin Attupatu (1 run & 5 ducks in his first 6 digs).secretzimbo wrote: ↑Sun Nov 27, 2022 9:48 am
Too talented a bat to be that low. Should be number 6 for now and will surely move higher up the order as the years pass by.
A batting average of 34 and a bowling average of 22 is seriously good by Zim FC standards.
Just thinking that if Zimbabwe do go with extra batting in the middle with Raza coming in at 6, and also decide to play an allrounder type at 7 or 8 ie Burl/ Wes/ Shumba
You’re right 8 is probably too low, but 7 is fine for him, even if they decided to put Regis in front of him I’d be ok with that.

Nahh Wes any lower than 6 is criminal. Raza should be 5. Whoever is WK will be at 7.
Wes is good enough to bat much higher - in a few years when Ervine/Willo/Raza retire he'll probably end up at 3 or 4.

Who cares about the start. Wes will come good at some stage. Just gotta be patient.jaybro wrote: ↑Sun Nov 27, 2022 9:40 pmTalented no doubt, but I can’t remember a worse introduction to test cricket since Marvin Attupatu (1 run & 5 ducks in his first 6 digs).secretzimbo wrote: ↑Sun Nov 27, 2022 9:48 am
