I guess their only concern would be if he doesn’t get any wickets they’re leaving themselves short for later in the innings. The other side of that is if he gets one or two wickets there won’t be a ‘rest of the innings’eugene wrote: ↑Tue Jul 04, 2023 12:47 pmYeah, you would back him to get one more and expose the tail.SpitfiresKent wrote: ↑Tue Jul 04, 2023 12:46 pmIf I were Scotland I’d bring Sole back on for a couple.

Just play shots along the ground, get those ones and twos, that should get us home.

Plenty of time - just need to preserve wickets and take the game deep.

But these aerial shots are scaring me... Need to play risk-free cricket here, we cannot afford to lose another wicket.

I miss the days when our tail was like Cremer, S Masakadza, Panyangara, etc... like, you knew they were capable of 30 or 40.
W Masakadza could possibly do that at a pinch. But Ngarava and Muzarabani are more like a few lusty blows at best. The Legend is obviously a walking wicket.
So basically these two have to put us within at least 20 runs.

I hate to bring this up but Evans or Jongwe would have been mighty useful now

I’d almost be tempted to bring in Ngarava before Wello to take the pressure off him and see if he can hit a quick fire 30 or so.brmtaylor.com admin wrote: ↑Tue Jul 04, 2023 12:53 pmI miss the days when our tail was like Cremer, S Masakadza, Panyangara, etc... like, you knew they were capable of 30 or 40.

Wes planting his leg straight and across the ball and dinking it to leg. That's not a good look.
