Fuck man, at the airport just saw the score, this looks bad. Will probably see the inevitable once I reach home. 🤦‍♂️

It's a low total, it's far from over. They have to put the bowlers off their lengths. There were a couple for Taruvinga to bang over the bowlers head but he blocked them out, it was early on his innings, takes a brass set to smack one into the sidescreen on your 6th ball. That's the biggest weakness with our age group batting over the years- a poor offside game and unfortunately that's where good bowlers will bowl. I dunno if any of them can sweep? You only need to sweep a couple to make the bowler think.

Play resuming anytime soon?

Eksteen and macmillan are naturally aggressive. Ronak Patel can play anchor or attack. Seen him do both.

If this match end in a draw nothing much has changed. Still need to beat namibia!

Looks like they are trying to restart. I presume we've lost a huge amount of overs

I reckon the target will be revised to 90 from 20 overs, or 120 from 25.

Ya this revised total should favor us I'd think.

This is why I rolled my eyes a bit about all the ‘thsi team are so well prepared’ comments.

Soft attacks like the USA and Ireland is not great preparation. Players get used to that level and struggle to step up.

This is also why I believe some players in the senior team have gone backwards
They start getting acclimatised to 125 bowling etc and when they face sheer speed they are unprepared
Cricinfo profile of the 'James Bond' of cricket:

FULL NAME: Angus James Mackay
BORN: 13 June 1967, Harare
KNOWN AS: Gus Mackay

'The' Gus Mackay.

Hero.
Sportsman.
Artist.
Player.

They spent a month playing good quality adult teams in big stadiums in Mumbai, played against the top university team in SA and also played against SA proper, and also Bangladesh who won the U19 Asia Cup last month.

They've been in camp and/or tours for 2 months solid.

Best prepared Zim team for a long time tbh. This isn't a great batch or certainly wasn't when they started but several have really improved. We can't blame the (recent) preparation this time. I'm not really sure what you are expecting - do you want ZC to take an Indian or Pakistani administrator hostage and force them to make their u19 teams play warm-up games against us? If they don't want to, they won't.
