I just don't understand what ireland's political approach have to do with likening their cricket team lol. Could've just said something positive about their cricket as a justification rather.
Irish cricket has been a bit inconsistent lately. They did get a convincing away Test win vs Afghanistan which is a pretty big achievement given how strong AFG are against those types of teams

Bangladesh tests moving to 2025 is a bit disappointing but not a disaster as Bangladesh generally keep their commitments and we can be very hopeful of those games happening.

So March, May, July, August, we've got fixtures, fair enough. What we need now is for some good results!
It makes sense from a scheduling point of view to add the Tests to the limited overs tour in March 2025. It should be a very similar schedule to the current Bangladesh v Sri Lanka series going on right now.

If all goes to plan, Zimbabwe will play 11 Tests in 2025. lol

Ireland's Test match against Zimbabwe, pencilled in for Stormont in late July, is reportedly being scrapped as the beleaguered Board are yet again struggling with their finances.
Sounds like Ireland are now going ahead with the Test but have scrapped all of the white ball fixtures of the tour. ZC not happy.....

Effectively now having to fly to Ireland in the middle of our off-season for just 1 single Test match.

It will never make sense why The ICC don’t fund test cricket for Zim, Ireland and Afghanistan. Really doesn’t make any sense. They want it to die

I don’t mind it. ZC has form (I’m pretty sure we cancelled on Ireland twice in the last few years) so can’t really be complaining. Ideally, the cancelled LOI games should be converted to a Test to make it a 2 Test series.

Scrapping all the LOIs doesn't make any sense to me. They could have at least retained T20s along with a test.
