Yeah coming from good sporting families also helps.

I can see Madhevere and Bennet as the future opening pair for Zimbabwe in white ball cricket.

This series despite the poor results has genuinely seen some positives for Zimbabwe. Other than Bennett and Campbell, I think even Jongwe, Blessing and Ngarava have had good performances.
Nick Welch before Madhevere thanks
They won't play so many whites. Also I'm ok with Wes over Welch for now, even on merit, unless Welch really steps up and puts in some serious domestic performances.

We definitely don't play as well under lights. Definitely think that's a factor.

Should have won the 4th T20 tbh, this should have been 3-2 instead of 4-1, anyways, congratulations on a fine victory guys.

One more win would have given such a good chance for direct qualification for T20 WC.
So true. We missed a big opportunity to qualify directly. Don’t know what the rankings will look like now

This might be the most comfortable win we have had against better opponents in a long time. Good to see Raza delivering. We just needed 1 senior player to deliver in a couple of the games we lost.

From a Bangladeshi perspective I think it’s clear that Taskin is key. That sense of danger I only felt when Shakib was bowling today. Taskin was creating opportunities regularly upfront

Overall this series was important because we had other guys stand up. Bennet and Campbell have bought themselves at least 3 games against India, if not all 5. I will say it again, you could sense the change of guard for the first time. Craig was carrying drinks and he didn’t seem bothered. I think deep down it makes them sleep better knowing that we have a chance at a future

The brains trust here must ask themselves if Bennett is this decent then how good is Welch Jr? They need to make sure he has a prominent role next season with his franchise to give him an opportunity to prove himself.

For India I have a feeling we might see Wes and Mavuta back given the recent PR I have seen. Maybe Evans? It’s a home series so I’m expecting a bigger squad

Even Williams not coming in at 4 is a sign.

The turning point of Zim cricket, this tour. The 4-1 result doesn’t tell the full story but it goes much deeper than that. There’s cause to believe.

There's a lot riding on this NPL for the likes of Mavuta, Madhevere, Myers (if he's back), Welch.
Welch Jr has a broken foot which I doubt will be ready in time.
Also pressure on Ervine and Williams if they want to play T20.
K-long is likely to do well, he dominates domestic cricket.
But its what we want to see. Suddenly there's relevance to domestic games.
