Another very poor 6 hitter is Wes. He might actually have to be the guy who plays anchor in the future. Just to put it into perspective Bennet has hit 10 sixes in 11 games. Wes has only managed 14 sixes in 60 games. I used to think it was just an age thing but Bennett has proven that to be false. Maybe it’s a height thing. Bennet looks a bit taller.
You don't play anchors in t20 cricket ffs

Yes, but good teams don't lose to Associates. Don't think Australia or India have ever lost to an Associate in T20Is.

Wes is 6ft 1in from what I found on Google. Jake Fraser McGurk is 5ft 7in. Height is not the issue.

It's all about technique, training, and talent.

Erm….how can they lose if they never play them? I doubt India or Australia have ever played an associate outside of a World Cup.

Credit to Bangladesh. The reason they lose to associates is because they are generous enough to give them fixtures.

Just read somewhere that we need Ireland to beat Netherlands.

Wes might be 5ft 1, think they're a foot out

McCarthy throwing the game for Ireland. You'd think they'd have smelt a rat just in the name

Good win for Ireland for us. I think unless either of the Dutch or Scotland make the Super 8s we will qualify directly for the T20 world cup.
