If the guys at the top of the order survive for a bit we have a good chance. That 162 stat doesn't tell you how many times we have gotten over that mark but were chasing a much higher target.

This is true hey.
It’s all in the mind this target. Might be rain around but we’d get 60 overs at 3 an over surely. It’s not turning square.
Pitty we dont play lots of tests. (except for this year)
Hope he stays fit. Would be interesting to see how he goes in England and at home against the Kiwis and Saffers.
How common are athletes like Blessing and Ngarava in Zimbabwe and Zimbabwe school cricket? Is their height and athleticism rare or can Zimbabwe build a long term side on fast bowling and expect more bowlers like them to emerge or are these two anomalies? With good fast bowlers you can prepare assistive pitches, don't know why they play Tests in Bulawayo when they seem to be spinning slow wickets there?
I have been saying this for ages. It's just about getting them to play cricket but trust me they are there. It's the next phase of development. Going from trying to neutralise opponents to building an identity and then preparing pitches that suit that. The final phase is then finding good players in all departments.
