Zimbabweans in the UK 2025
Re: Zimbabweans in the UK 2025
Old Brett Johnson with a blistering 176 and 7 fer for Newton Reigney. Went berserk by all accounts. All the sun baked the track into a road.
Re: Zimbabweans in the UK 2025
But didn't John Brettson then trump him by scoring 276 and taking a 9-for?

He did, was the craziest 50 over match I’ve ever seen. old John brettson ain’t after an NPL deal though, shame. Putting his studies first at some agricultural college. Serve him better in the long run.
Johnson though, he harbours dreams of playing for takashinga. thinks they’re a top class, well run outfit, playing a brand of cricket he buys into.

Who's this Michael Booth? Looks rapid and is Zimbabwean born
Re: Zimbabweans in the UK 2025
I'd forgotten about Booth!!
He was about the quickest schoolboy in SA a few years back.
I think he was at Hilton, action looked a tiny bit suspect back then. Probably should have made their U19 squad (think they have dual or even 3 citizenships), but unfortunately he was white and also half Zimbabwean. He then tried out at a couple of counties without anyone biting. Initially he was quick but not doing much with the ball, but he looks like he's refined his game.
. He's having a good time of it now and doing well.
I think he was probably a lot quicker when he was a schoolboy, but as I said the action looked borderline back then, not so now if you look at current clips.

I've just seen he started at St John's.
