Tanu is an interesting conversation actually. He had 7 opportunities against better opposition to make a score and didn't convert. Is he still next in line for the next A games or does someone else who didn't do as well in Logan cup but did better in the A games now get opportunity ahead of him?
Which level do they set the most store by?
Does he wait for another good logan Cup, hope to get selected for the A games after that and hope to convert spectacularly? That could be next season or maybe never?
Before you know it the years roll by and good players can and do get completely overlooked.
Did he not get a 63 in an A game against Scotland? That’s it though, he didn’t capitalise on his opportunity really. Or have I just made that up?!

No he didn’t wasn’t even playing ffs, must have been thinking of Roy kaia’s 68.
Gimu seems to be a great prospect indeed but has he really done enough to be getting a number 7 spot. This just goes to show how desperate we really are for a seaming allrounder. Indeed Gimu had a few good games at the back end of the logan cup 24/25 but he had a pretty ordinary run in the vigne cup in the few games he played and to parachute him to number 7 is setting him up for failure.
Thats the order of business in Zim, you parachute guys in and hope they come good. Who hasn't been parachuted into the side? Do you have BMT or don't you? At some point you have to find out. My money is on Gimu.
Feel a bit bad for Jono Campbell really. Not done a lot wrong but, I'm hoping his time will come again. Is turning to a 36 year old to open the batting really a good idea? Not so sure. Maybe opening with Welch and Bennett would have opened up the middle order slightly.
Still can't believe Evans is being overlooked. He's done so well so far this summer
Jono didnt persist in his bowling..becsuse he was a good fit to displace Wes
2 spinners in Vincent and Welly is highly unlucky
More of 3 pace and 1 spinner with wes , bennet and Sean helping out..
I think Evans is more useful in limited overs , considering he is coming of injury...

Well if he doesnt get to bowl he's no longer an all rounder.
In my humble opinion Wes is currently a better player than Jonno.
I like to use the word currently because things change. Its a game of millimetres. He trains hard and needs to keep pushing and bowling as much as he can. He wont make it as a batter/finisher alone.
They stopped Welch Jr keeping, no longer a threat as a keeper batsman.
Evans is useful in every format. This guy has been dealt a serious injustice, as has our national side. We are stronger in every format with Evans.
