SA should bat all tomorrow and try and reach 1000 runs before declaring and bowl Zimbabwe out twice within 3 days

Jeez this is looking untidy for us. Eeish

This forum is all but dead
Some brutally toxic stuff on X though.
We're behind the 8 ball in most departments, but the reality was that we didn't bowl too badly.
Bizarrely Blessing hasn't got any wickets, despite some good bowling. TK has been good, long may that last.
Wellie bowled decently as well.
We had an LBW ignored and Mulder got lucky with thst one he skied, but in a superb innings of 250 odd its not going to be chanceless.
Its always easy to dissect this with the benefit of hindsight.
I have to say again that I dont think Craig is the right captain. Ive always maintsined that, but the only alternative is Sean. Anyone else there is not doing well enuf personally to be considered. I just feel he misses some key moments, is too conservative and should be at mid off and have more too say. Having said that he must have PTSD and I'm not sure he knows how to win. Tough to set fields and have strategies if the bowling is erratic, but as I said wasn't too bad today.
It's been a really good pitch for batting and we're up against quality batters and our bowling attack and strategies are a bit off. Not by much I dont think. Sounds stupid to say that, but I sincerely believe that. It's a game of mm. Good captaincy today I believe would have yielded better results.
Wellie bowled reasonably well today. Long stint, he's going to be tired tonight, and there's more of the same tomorrow.
I was disappointed in Gimu's performance, but it looks like he picked up an injury there and may well have bowled thru it. Nonetheless he was a bit unconvincing.
There is a lot of talk about Evans and Masuku.
Evans is our most reliable seamer (aside from Blessing...and dare I say TK after his last two outings), he's better than Masuku. They just have to make space for him. We are not spoilt for choice. He has to play.
Wellie is probably our best spinning option. No disrespect to him but some of that is because they've ignored other options for years so we now have few options. I still think Masekesa needs more opportunities. He's a leggie, he turns it and he lands them when he's not under pressure. Regarding his selection today, hard to blame them for leaving him out, but he'd have to have replaced Wes. The only way Wes can remain relevant is to either knock out a big one soon and/or become a better spinner. He's not bad, but this is the highest level of cricket, he has to improve his bowling.
Wellie has to get more turn. He ticks the other boxes.

I think the might have to stop playing in Bulawayo against the better teams. They will just simply bat us out the game on flat tracks. It also looks very ugly.

Raza should also be there. People underestimate his importance. Should have never been given that NOC. Hopefully he plays against New Zealand
