Hi all.

I am a Kiwi cricket history buff, who has long had an affinity with Zimbabwean cricket. My favourite players to watch were Andy Flower, Paul Strang and Brendan Taylor. Paul Strang resides in New Zealand now. Being a diminutive sort of chap myself, I enjoyed watching Tatenda Taibu play too.

I have a large autograph collection of test and ODI players, but the Zimbabwean side of this has fallen away. NZ vs Zim, used to be a very regular series, but that has been a thing of the past for many years now. I am hoping to connect with someone that can help me to build this up again.

I'm also interested to learn of the up and comers on the Zimbabwe scene. I hope that cricket has picked up again after a pretty volatile recent history.

Hi - I’ve been following Zim cricket (national team and domestic) closely for the last 5 or so years. I’m based in the UK and thought it was time to start contributing myself after lurking in the forum for the last year!

I am a passionate ZC fan from Finland and I've been following zimbabwean cricket since 2015. So like all we have shared great memories and heartbreaks ever since that timelime.
One of the greatest moment was when they beat New Zealand in 1st ODI in Harare and Craig scored his 1st hundred. If we look the whole 2015 from the context of it. I could write another thread about good memories of ZC but that might be for some other time.
As someone who's born and raised in Finland cricket was pretty much non-existent here but I knew about the game from the asian community. So yeah cricket is the "boring" sport where's its not popular. And I was one of them who couldn't disagree on that but Zimbabwe that same year (in 2015) gave the best thriller matches I could ever get to see. I'm not exaggerating but Zimbabwe gave me the peak of the thrill in sports, they are still doing this to this day if the game isn’t disaster for them.
I've been observing this forum quite sometime and got some good insight about Zimbabwe cricket scene but this time I'd like to contribute to this forum to say the least. There has been so many members in and out hopefully the forum will be more active since its been quite lately. Looking forward to get connected ZC fans and let's continue supporting even possibly contributing to Zimbabwe cricket scene.
I'm also planning to visit Zimbabwe for the upcomming 2027 WC and maybe for the U-19 WC. As Zimbabwe cricket who made fall in love with cricket just from the TV/Laptop/mobile screen with intense thrills I don't want to miss out the atmosphere of the stadium
+ Zimbabwean crowds are the best they never dissapoint.
Anyways we have lot of cricket coming on so hope to engage in much discussions as I can.
