If we want to give ourselves the best chance of qualifying and any chance of winning a single game in the WC this is our strongest T20 team. Probably all formats actually.

Bennett
Welch
Naqvi
Taylor/Curran
Williams
Raza
Burl
Marumani
Evans
Ngarava
Muzarabani

This is by far and away our strongest team. Mess around with anything else and theyre playing politics and Russian Roulette with 3 in the chamber. /quote]

Bang average captain, don't think I've ever said otherwise.

He’s better than Ervine at least, so maybe he can take comfort from that.

To be honest judging by how we have played over the last week. I'm not worried about the qualifiers. They are also at home. Despite the defeats they have shown some real fight against a team not as good as England, SA or NZ. We haven't seen the traditional 1 game disaster/collapse yet either. This level is 2 tiers above what they will face at the qualifiers in front of a home crowd.

Not a fan of the band though.

Thats what the green label selectors will be thinking- ya this team should get us thru the low level qualifiers.

Then do they stick with this team thru to the WC if they manage not to slip on a qualifier banana skin?

This team ain't coming close to winning a WC game.
I still believe in Maru, but not as an opener. If Taylor plays and keeps, Maru is a risk up front. These games against good opponents are next level. Lets see how he goes in the next 2 games, which hopefully he gets, because he's batting amazingly well in domestic. Its just weird. Its partly pressure and partly pretty relentless bowling and shot selection.

I'll say it again- the guys coming after Burl are marginal at best. I almost keep wanting the top order to fail so we can see over and over and over again that they are unlikely to cope before they fail when it really counts. Watching them persevere with the same guys when I know the coaches must be thinking ffs, what's going on?

Maphosa was worrying. That was an implosion.
The players are frustrating and the "selectors'" agenda is just criminal.

What’s the record for most losses in a row in the last over?

Really need a win soon.

Agree with those before. Why not bowl Williams more.
Not everyone needs to bowl their quota.

Ngarva must have a few franchise leagues circling soon

Zimbabwe always manage to win tight matches. In fact, this is the first one they've lost in YEARS.
