And out of nowhere that ball stays an inch off the ground. Same as first innings. Bizarre. He was looking a million dollars. Innings defeat loading.

NW succumbed to the banter there. Was going well. Stupid.
Yeah, poor cricket. Awkward reverse sweep, followed by a limp drive to cover.

I think this was the best the MW has looked for a while, the high number of bowled and lbw dismissals is a concern though.

Ali Hasnain looks a very nice SLA. Mixes his pace nicely, and has good control. Tough on Simbi to make his debut, bowl very effectively, then probably be benched for the season. Hasnain does look a quality bowler though, so not a bad thing overall. Once again, the impact that these Pakistanis, who don't play on the pro circuit in Pakistan are having is a worrying comment on the standard. They do look to be genuinely talented cricketers for the most part though, although I agree that Shafi Ullah was very mediocre for the Mountaineers in this game.

Agreed, talent ID there is notoriously un-meritocratic. I'm not saying they aren't good, they very clearly are. Concerning regardless that such inexperienced players can roll off the plane and dominate.

I knew he’d be told to come back at some point.

I wonder if he’s kicked on whilst away? He was as talented as any 13-year-old I’ve ever seen.
