Zim have a track record of when a player is out of form they just keep them in there. It does more damage then good.

Re: ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 discussion
Imagine what it must do to more deserving players, it harms the ones selected, it harms those who should have been selected, it gives poor results and it drives the fans away.
Re: ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 discussion
I dunno if it harms the ones selected. It should, but after about 40 games it becomes your birthright.

half way through Dean at stumps interview with Andy Flower.
Some points his made about the under 19, which will be true for the national team too.
1. Players need better exposure to higher quality competition.
2. Players need to have higher quality training procedures.
3. The domestic structure needs top organised better. I.e clearer pathways, set times when the season starts.
Also spoke about the 100 in England and even though i dont like the format, its been a huge business success.
Also believes Grant is ready to coach the national side.
He also finished with he would never say no to coming back to Zim. He did say say for Zim to improve it needs changes in leadership, organisation and structure of the game. So I guess we can rule him out.

He's literally saying to them, "here is the blueprint for sustained and continued success, and if you let me run it, you'll have it"Andy31 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 06, 2026 5:26 amhalf way through Dean at stumps interview with Andy Flower.

The blokes at ZC are too arrogant though. They would rather keep losing to Oman and Uganda, and letting countries overtake us, than actually being a top side again.
Re: ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 discussion
Anyone who believes this Indian lad is 14 is just plain stupid.
Re: ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 discussion
He does look young, unlike all the Afghans. How old do u think he really is?
Re: ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 discussion
A 14 year old cannot deal with bowling like that. Its just not humanly possible. To give him benefit of doubt, 16 maybe ...
Re: ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 discussion
I mean if he was 14 and there was any kind of natural progression, meaning he isnt at his peak, he would end up being the greatest batsman that has ever lived x10.

All the Indian players are age cheating, without doubt. At least they don’t take the piss as much as the Afghans.
Suryavanshi isn’t 14 but he is probably still U19, he looks fairly young.
