Yes I just watched Italy vs Nepal.
Apart from the usual "historic day", "Italy in Cricket World Cup!", "monumental landmark", etc., etc. I'm not hiding that all but two players are from England, Australia.
So: Italy national team has defeated Nepal. Italian cricket is still below Nepal par.
The good news is that Man of the Match has been appointed to a SriLankan born who is currently living in Tuscany and plays for Roma C.C. in the Italian League.
A real emotion has been to hear him speaking in Italian in the after match (team mates would have struggled to enuntiate even few words in Italian...).
P.S.
my surname spells with an "i" at the end, not an "e"
my name is indeed Andrea which in Italian language (only) is a male name

There was a random Italian heritage boy called Andrea in my school back in the day, which was unusual. It was mostly people with names like Frenkie van der Westhuizen and the odd Greek kid in that region back then

Prince Edward used to have a lot of Portuguese lads..hence Pork Education
Those Italian brothers can bat!! That was impressive. Some fantastic shots.

Well done to the Italians. Looks like they've got at least 4 actual Italianos in that squad!
