While it is hard to compare different era's, this is surely the greatest Zimbabwean performance at an ICC tournament since the 1999 CWC, with the potential to push ahead of that depending on the Super 8s. Convincing wins against two full members in difficult conditions and topping the group is nothing any of us could have imagined. In any era of Zimbabwean cricket these results would have been a shock.

I reckon we should go in confident of beating the West Indies and then hoping for some sort of South African choke in what will likely be a virtual quarterfinal.

To top the group is madness, who could have ever seen that coming. But the most impressive thing is they are playing like they belong... not just a team capable of an upset, but a team that is expecting to win. Very professional. I've never seen anything quite like it from Zimbabwe.

Different format, different opposition but the 2011 Test win against Bangladesh was very special.

True that. Well they've had moments, even after 1999, esp in the early 2000s, but this is right up there .

It's a World Cup FFS, and yes they are killing it! I haven't seen Zimbabwe play with such conviction since ages.
