Some guys seem to think he doesn’t even live in Zim full time, just when he’s playing cricket
His first season in the Netherlands, I think two years ago, he spent too long out of the country. That year was wiped from his residency period and the ICC blocked him from playing last year.

I think he’s was away for a shorter period of time last year which has helped.

No idea when he becomes eligible but my guess based on what we know and what I hear is probably early 2027, but who knows? He wasn’t eligible for this World Cup, we know this.
He played UK club one season, and in some Pakistan league. Possibly in the same year.

I think the heavy game schedule over the past 12-18 months has started to pay dividends. Just the approach to the games against Australia and Sri Lanka have shown a new level of maturity that had been lacking. Marumani isn't swinging wildly from the first ball as much as he used to. Bennett is playing an anchor role for the innings with Burl and Raza coming in to lift the tempo when its needed. Mazuranbami, Evans and Ngarava have cemented the bowling attack.I'd like to see Ngarava come in for Masakadza for the finals assuming he is fit and possibly Curran as another left handed option with the bat, although thats probably unlikely

I’d still rather we pick Zimbabweans anyway
I disagree with you on this one SZ. As long as you’re eligible you should play. I prefer eligible players regardless where they’re from. Our success at this T20 WC is led by a non-native Zimbabwean. Many national teams from various sporting codes do this all the time. The day Naqvi becomes eligible, he walks into that team and will potentially captain as well.

Raza is 100x more Zimbabwean than Naqvi is! That’s an unfair reference to make.

He’s a quality player and I’m sure he will play for us at some point.

Worth noting though he has struggled in the UK, and twice in the Netherlands, and his current domestic season is fine but not spectacular.

Tony Munyonga is having some moments in this WC. That catch the other day and the six under pressure today. Well done man.

Bennett, Marumani, bowlers, Sikki... Take a bow folks!

You know the scariest part? This is Zimbabwe's weakest format and they are rocking it!!! Beware teams!!! 😆😆😆

Are these wins front page of the daily newspaper?

The best part of this all to me is that Cremer gets to witness it alongside Taylor. Cremer was captain when they lost that match to UAE in 2018. They won their first series in SL 3-2 under Cremer and the team was getting momentum, Taylor & Jarvis returned.

Man was literally holding his tears in the post match press conference and said if Raza hadnt got out, he couldve won us the match with overs to spare.

The whole staff was sacked, Heath Streak , Klusener etc.

Cremer is still their best leggie and probably their best frontline spinner since ray price retired.

All those lows since the 2004 rebel crisis, the last crisis when they failed to make it to 2 consecutive world cups . Got suspended in 2019 , waller quit cricket & Mire retired. PJ Moor went to Ireland, then in 2022 t20 wc, they had a real shot of making it to the semis by beating Ban & Ned. Raza was made T20I captain in 2023 and they lost to Uganda & Namibia but Raza proved his worth today man.

Still hoping Williams was here, hoping he gets one last shot for the ODI WC, with 5 players in their 40s, some are bound to get injured.. ZC needs to recall him. He is one player with no immediate replacement.
