C'mon china, Wellington Masakadza shouldn't be in this conversation. Same goes for Mupariwa, he was 2nd fastest to 50 ODI wickets behind Streaky if I'm not mistaken.

Here's mine:

1. Brian Chari
2. Cephas Zhuwao
3. Brian Mudzinganyama
4. Timycen Maruma (c)
5. Friday Kasteni
6. Ryan Murray (wk)
7. Greg Lamb
8. Keegan Meth
9 Tafadzwa Kamungozi
10. Ian Nicolson
11. Liam Roche

- Nicolson had a bit of pace though. Shame he didn't have the accuracy to go with it.

EDIT: I had included PJ Moor initially, but replaced him with Friday Kasteni. Moor shouldn't be in this convo tbh.
Think you are being harsh on Murray. He was not hapless. He definitely had some talent or glimpses of it. He just didn't actually get a chance to prove whether he was good enough or not. He stopped too early to pursue other ventures.
Fair point.

I couldn't think of any other keeper to include in the side. Richmond Mutumbami was pretty ordinary, but he did score a few half centuries in ODI cricket. Nyasha Mayavo is a close contender, but he is still active could still improve his stats.

In the spirit of making this a truly hapless side, maybe there shouldn't be a specialist keeper?

Chari has an international stumping to his name after all, throw the gloves to him and then you can choose another specialist walking wicket to weaken the batting.

 after that horrendous outing against the Windies, Tashinga Musekiwa replaces Murray and Brian Chari takes the gloves.

- I feel for Musekiwa. I hope he works on his game and redeems himself in the future.

Everyone drops catches, bud. He's a great fielder.
His Achilles is quality spin.

Does anyone else remember that infamous ZCF member hhm was obsessed with Greg Lamb? Was always one of the first names on his team sheet.
hhm

I remember two versions of hhm. The first incarnation had a crazy Terry Duffin obsession. Then came the radical left-wing version, a Dr Umar Johnson of some sort. Hated white people like nobody's business.

Bring him back please. Would be fun to see him have a debate with Googly.

The most remarkable thing about hhm was the length of his posts. I have no idea where he found the time to write 10-15 full page posts every day. And this was before AI, so it was all him.
