[Results] ZCF Awards 2008: Most Improved Player

The nominations for Most Improved Player were:

Hamilton Masakadza
Tawanda Mupariwa
Elton Chigumbura
Brighton Mugochi

..and the clear winner, with over 60% of votes cast, was Hamilton Masakadza. Hamilton's performances early in the year were very poor, to the point were many were thinking his time in the side was just about up. But towards the end of the year he's found his form again and become a mainstay for the batting attack, underpinning a number of team performances. That form seems to have continued into 2009 - he's just captained Zimbabweans to a comprehensive 195-run victory over BCB Academy, scoring a half-century in the process. May his good form continue for a long time to come.
