crimson i dont think the depth is to bad its definitely better than 2 years ago

our A side easily beat a Namibian team which got to the final of the intercontinental cup which is nothing to be joked at

i think our A side needs to be the one touring the associates

I agree with you about the depth of the team. I remember a Zim A team playing Namibia in the "good old days", and getting beaten, so I think the player base is not too bad currently. What is lacking is real quality in the first eleven, especially batting. We musn't forget that the team is still relatively very young, and hopefully the likes of Utseya, Cremer, Chigumbura, Masakadza, Rainsford, Mupariwa, Mpofu even Taibu still have a lot of improvement with age to come.

I dont think we have done to bad in this competition so far considering we are very light in the batting department remebering we are playing qaulity Indian opposition. Without Sibanda (who to me even tho his form was woeful, he has the best batting technique in the team and when on fire it really is awsome to watch him bat) Taylor (Arguably 1 of the best batsman to come in and score runs under pressure and is our match winner he has showen that many a time) Williams (Our most talented young batsman when on fire scores runs consistantly) and Taibu (who is our most expieienced batsman) Missing these big players obviously we are no where near full strength in the batting. There isnt enough class and expeience there atm

Yes,no gain. But nothing to worry about. We know that India has become a very strong side and their domestic sides are also strong too.

I will tell that it was a learning experience for the players.

In my opinion batting depth is okay. From this tour Zimbabwe has gained batsmen like Chibhabha,Chakabva and Mutizwa.I amnt sure about Chakabva but I think that Chibhabha(opening) and Mutizwa(middle/lower middle order) will be able secure a place for them in the national side in future.

I think Sean Williams will not return but it's true that he was missed.

The experience of Tatenda Taibu is needed for the team.I hope when his cit will be
available(!!!!) and form will be okay he will be recalled.

If Brendan Taylor returns ahead of the Logan Cup,it will increase the batting strength.

There are good news also as Mark Vermeulen and Charles Coventry to big batting guns will be included in the national side. So,batting depth will be increased.

Zimbabwe has got Stuart Matsikenyeri who did well in the Deodhar Trophy and Hamilton Masakasdza.

It's a good sign that Zimbabwe now has got players in hands and young players are coming through also some of the former players returning.
