Players that have returned in this years logan cup

Post by zimfan1 »

a few players who have returned have gone under the radar after the reappearances of Taylor, Coventry, Vermulen and Williams

we have

Prince Masvaure - has been in South Africa returned for the last round former under 19 captain big talent

Tarisai Mahlunge - Wicketkeeper was a key domestic player last year

Blessing Mahwire - Returned after a couple of years out of action, experienced player

Brighton Mugochi - Quality left arm spinner has come back from south Africa

All these players will strengthen the quality of first class cricket and should be pushing for A team places

You have missed one name,zimfan1.It's Douglas Hondo.

Hondo performed very well in the Logan Cup this year although he is ruled out for injury concerns.Returned in the domestic cricket after 2005.

Friday Kasteni batted at no3 for Centrals in the 1st innings of the current game against Westerns.

Another very useful player back.

Mufambisi made his first appearance in ages as well. And Mawoyo didn't play at all last year because of injury.

its good to see a lot of the fringe players come back as it will make our first class game much more competitive and strengthen the A team which i believe has a very crucial role to play in our bid for readmission to test cricket
