BD-Zim T20 series

Post by CrimsonAvenger »

...Bangladesh squad for a proposed T20 series against Zimbabwe in mid-January...
So, the plan is still on: http://www.espncricinfo.com/bangladesh/ ... 56587.html
The BCB are still working on plans to have a three or five-match T20 series against Zimbabwe, ahead of the Asia Cup and World T20.
More misery to be heaped on us, fans, soon...

Another series I won't bother to watch...5 am starts local time for me (eugene is just a couple hours drive away to the north but would get an extra hour to sleep in). Seriously tho, I hate T20s, thank god the WC is going to be every 4 years.

I hope we can tour ZIM for 2-3 tests in April. Might convince the ZC to use them as warmups ahead of bigger series vs India, SL, and NZ.

So, a 4 match T20I series it is, with a stronger BD team on offer: http://www.thedailystar.net/sports/zimb ... jan-197362

Four T20Is to be played on January 15, 17, 20 and 22

Shakib and Sarkar are back in the squad.

Dont give a rat's ass about the t20s...we'll lose at least 1.

But up to 3 Tests in ZIM in june/july...aren't India touring at that time? Sounds like BCB are making up things without confirming with the ZC first.

Looks that way for sure. But sure hope a 3 test series happens in Zim sometime this year. Test cricket is definitely our forte and our admin don't have the brains to understand that. Shorter the game, the more we suck.

Well according to the FTP, the India tour is at the front end of June and NZ at the very end of July. My guess is firm dates haven't been decided on by ZC (BCB decides dates last minute usually).

India's 1 test, 3 ODI tour should take more than 14 days total, leaving 5 weeks for a BD test tour. 15 days of play with 6-8 days between matches and 5 days for a tour match is exactly 4 weeks. Becomes more doable if it becomes a 2 test series since Zim only have 2 grounds.
