This is exciting news. We may have another Chatara like bowler, that can bat as well. They gave a début to their 19-year-old former under-19 pace-bowling all-rounder William Mashinge, who understandably still looks rather raw, but seems to have definite potential to develop real pace. Born in Marondera, he counts as a local Mountaineers player.

Good to see a FC side batting for nearly 150 overs.
This is the issue with only playing 6 FC matches a season, by the time the players get used to the format it is nearly the end of the season.

Not overly sure what's going on with this match, Chinouya is obviously out for the innings/match, Munyede has now come out of the attack part way through an over, meanwhile Muzhange has only bowled 17 of 139 overs and Nyathi hasn't bowled a single ball, has Nyathi been taking captaincy advice over the phone from Chigumbura ?

"Chinouya is obviously out for the innings/match", happily I got that wrong, he came back out after lunch and picked up a wicket ........
Mountaineers take a 1st innings lead of 90 and Rhinos are already deep in the brown stuff, 33-2 with Chapungu and Mayavo already out, I can't see Rhinos pushing their Logan Cup luck any further in this particular match unless Maruma and Musakanda hit the jackpot

Easy win on the cards for Mountaineers tomorrow, a real National XI performance by Rhinos with the exception of Maruma and Musakanda, they managed 124 out of 157 from the bat as Rhinos folded and set Mountaineers 76 to win, mind you, if Kamungozi can take 4 wickets maybe miracles can be performed by Mumba and the gang tomorrow ..........

Tapiwa Mufudza reached 50 FC wickets in this game.
