The case of Brandon Diplock is one that really confuses me. There is no better pure all round talent than his in the country and I wish he would get his shot at first class and list A cricket. I think he is a genuine threat to Jongwe and Madziva on talent and skills alone. In my opinion Dipaz is the most unfortunate and most frustrated player in Zimbabwe i felt badly that he didnt make the under 19 world cup side in his year and last season he was meant to play franchise cricket but wasnt a favourite of the then coach. I rank him fourth best swing bowler in the country only behind Taylor, Price and Shereni as a batsman very sensible and can hit the ball to all parts of the ground. An illustration at his frustration can only be seen through his father who has put his all in his sons future and cricket career and season after season he advocates for his son. In truth he may need to leave the eagles franchise to get regular games.
This year as much as many may criticize Coach Timoni for at times fielding a weak eagles side he has rewarded the hard workers and guys who have been loyal through the years and has opened the franchise to most clubs unlike how Mountaineers has become a Takashinga home.

There does seem to be a better culture around the Eagles side this year, seems that if you work hard and score runs you will get a chance.gargamel wrote:The case of Brandon Diplock is one that really confuses me. Out of interest anyone know the situation with Nathan Waller, i know he has knacked his back which has stopped him bowling but does he want a career in Zimbabwe or is he still wanting to play for Ireland?
Also do we think he can reinvent himself in a batsman so that he can be selected as a pure batter?

He averages 16 in List A playing franchise cricket .....
He would have to improve ......

Devon Bell picking up three wickets, he is going to struggle to displace Nyumbu in the lineup.

5 wickets now for Bell, always nice to have another leg spinner in the mix.zimfan1 wrote:Devon Bell picking up three wickets, he is going to struggle to displace Nyumbu in the lineup.
