ICC restructuring

Post by eugene »

Interesting to see that the ICC is blowing up the big three arrangement. A positive step indeed. I wonder what this will mean for Zimbabwe, the fixture list, world cup's, etc?

Very little, to be honest. Unless they also blow up the previous "Big 10" arrangement, and allow some kind of fluid, meritocratic approach to funding, fixtures, status, qualification, etc...

Zimbabwe actually experienced its most dense period of matches whilst the big three were in operation .....

What I want to see is a Test league. It could span 3.5 years within the bilateral FTP with the series win loss record being the basis of ranking sides. The top 2 sides could then play a championship consisting of 3 or 4 tests.
