What did Ncube do to get into that squad?? And Muzarabani again??!! Damn! :(
Atrocious selection imo. Sibanda should have been there tbh. And Waller too. They're good FC players.
No Madziva, no Welly!! :o
But I'm glad Chigumbura's been dropped. He's useless without his bowling.
Masvaure is a good selection given his current form and the fact that he can bowl too.

Our selectors strive to make sure half the series is lost while selecting the squad itself.

I've lost the will to post a proper, sensible comment to this senseless selections. But I'd like to add a "me too" to everything Crimson and Conant have written, even if they don't quite agree where Vusi is concerned (but then I don't agree with myself about Vusi most of the time).

I agree it's a horrible squad. I just don't understand why do our selectors come up with such a bad squad. Batting selection looks OK( glad they didn't pickup Maruma, Mutombzodi or Chigs), but our bowling looks pathetic. Cremer and Chatara are out of form, and Ncube didn't pickup any wicket in the last match. S Masakadza, Neville and Wellington would have been a better choice. Mutumbami and Muzarbani? when will we get rid of them? Mawoyo, Chari and Masvaure looked good in the matches against S Africa A. I hope their form continues in the upcoming matches
Here is my XI

Mawoyo
Chari
Hami
Ervine
Williams
Prince M
PJ Moor
Cremer
Ncube
Tiripano
Chatara

Conant

@KBMpofu, a normally very nice guy, wrote on twitter that "Tino Mawoyo looks as fat as the uncle who once played rugby for Falcon College." I reckon we'll be very disappointed when we see him. I hope the selectors are not planning on foisting this embarrassment on us. God knows where he gets the food from when the rest of us are going hungry.

Wouldn't be a Zim squad without a few puzzling choices, 11 batsman ( 3 keepers !! )

Only 4 seamers and how is Ncube in the squad ???

Muzarabani has to be the token snitch how on earth is he in the squad in front of Mumba I don't know .....

I have a feeling we might go with 8 batsman and bank on Willy, Raza, Prince and maybe Chamu for overs ....

How is Tino back in the squad before Vusi & Waller it really is just a constant merry go round with these guys .....

Cremer needs to take 10 wickets if we're any chance .....

Yeah, if ever there was an enigma, Vusi must be the one... :D

Yesterday, Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) announced a 16-man squad, including Williams, but the original squad, leaked to NewsDay Sport on Wednesday which was published in yesterday’s issue had only 15 players excluding the left hander.
It took the intervention of captain Graeme Cremer, who sources said had not been consulted over the squad selection, for Williams to be included in the squad.
The original 15-man squad was selected by convenor Tatenda Taibu, coach Makhaya Ntini and Zim A coach Dougie Hondo.
How is the captain not part of the selection committee.
CHRISTOPHER MPOFU: 'The problem was fear of failure. I used to think that when I played, if I didn't do well in one game, I would lose my place for the next one but now I've let go of that'
