Midwest Rhinos closed off their innings at 319 all out with Graeme Creamer a well struck 62 runs, the century by Vusi Sibanda gave Rhinos this fairly comfortable total. Tuskers' innings started off at 31 for no loss before lunch and they are still out to utilise the Kwekwe flat wicket which is perfect for high scores above 350.
Rhinos offence lies in the safe hands of the quick bowling attack of Edward Ransford and Taurai Mzarabani. Rhinos did not make full use of the pitch and now have to slow down the Tuskers' run rate with the slower bowlers and pacing it in consistent good line and length
"Day two ended with Tuskers in trouble as they trail by 95 runs. Tuskers closed the day with 224 for 8 wickets after 70 overs. Neither Tuskers nor Midwest Rhinos have made full use of the flat Kwekwe wicket although Rhinos made a feast of Tuskers who fell victim to the works of Graeme Cremer who took 4 wickets for 69 in 23 overs. Mark Vermuelen and Christopher Mupariwa made bold attempts and managed to score 47 and 39 respectively. Rhinos will have to maintain the pressure by removing the last two wickets remaining and build an imposing lead, while Tuskers have to reduce their follow on margin to attainable levels".

Tuskers 159 for 4 in 61 over Rhinos, Rhinos now trail by 244 runs. Off spinner John Nyumbu had a fruitful day and managed to get take three wickets slowing the Tuskers lea rate.
This is a SUPPOSED midday update on the zim cricket website! now, can i just ask?
1.how is it possible that tuskers are 159 for 4 over rhinos when just this morning they were 200 odd for 8 and rhino's only had 2 wickets to get at the start of the day
2.how is it that they go on and on about john nyumbu having picked up
3.of his own team's wickets...seeing as he is a tuskers player and it is tuskers who are 159 for 4 as far as they are concerned? 3. Rhino's now trail by 244 runs?
The Midwest Rhinos continue to tighten the screws over the more favored
Matabeleland Tuskers resuming at the overnight score off 224 for 8, the
Tuskers could only add 10 runs to the loss of their last wicket to be bowled
out for 234 which left them trailing the Rhinos by 95 runs. Graeme Creamer
who scored an invaluable 63 then continued where he left off with the bat by
taking 5 wickets for 73 runs. Rhinos then added more salt to the Tuskers
wounds by extending their lead to 307 by the close of day three as they
reached 222 for 5 at stumps, thanks in main to a well played Innocent Nyati
and a rock solid 75 not out from Friday Kasteni who previously made 67 in
the first innings. Rhinos will be looking to bat until round about lunch of
day four which by then will put the game well beyond the reach of the
Tuskers.
