The State of our coaches!!??
Re: The State of our coaches!!??
I haven't seen the latest stuff offered by ZC, but would imagine it's based on the work done by Ian Tinker. It was comprehensive. The written stuff should simply be pass or fail but I would question that now, the real issues are when they assess your ability to run a coaching session. I've watched a few in the past and the standard that was required was not easy, even for level 1. I don't see ZC maintaining those stringent standards when assessing. I've seen the ECB level 2 stuff and it was not as comprehensive as our level 1, but as I said, I'm certain that's changed. It's a file of really interesting information that, even if you fancy you know your cricket, leaves you realizing how little you do know. I don't have it. I had a look and reluctantly had to hand it back. If you look on the internet you will find a lot of info. You need ECB level 2 ideally.

If you want real knowledge then buy Bob Woolmer's book- The Art and Science of Cricket, 800 pages of fascinating information. I wish I'd met this man, I refer to his book almost weekly.
