Thats true, Jongwe is as good at 20 as Mire was at 25. Shakib al Hasan was also ordinary at age 20 (by 21 the best all rounder in the world or close to it).

Even in an ideal situation where BRMT, Jarvis, Ballance, and the Curran brothers were playing, ZIM would still be sitting under the West Indies in the rankings. But those guys all left, and more are probably on their way. The blacks just don't have the passion for the game, generally speaking, and hence there is almost no talent. Its a white man's sport in country where there almost no whites left.

Unless and until ZC experiences regime change, the team is screwed. The experiment has failed.
Cricket is not a white man sport people play cricket not race we lose together and win together I'm a black cricket fan I'm just as passionate as a Bangladesh cricket fan .

Cricket is anyone's sport of any race.

However, black Zimbabwean cricketers must earn their spot over white Zimbabwean cricketers in terms of talent and skill, not have some political racial bullshit quota system given to them, or by making it so hard for the white guys to stay that they get it by default.

That's how you get respect in this world. If the Zimbabwe soccer team beat the German soccer team but the Germans have 8 players on the field are you still proud and do you respect the victory?

That's all it comes down too, and elements of SA and ZIM sport just don't understand that.

It's not a prejudiced view, it's simply common sense and I hope you realise that's all I'm saying

I was responding to kritereon who said that cricket is a white man's sport I fully appreciate the contribution of white cricketers and administrators. I dnt support the zc board in any way I'm just a random zc fan most black zc. fans are against any quotas they just want the team to do well .I personally think things have changed in terms of the fair selection of players ,Kenyon ziel will bring balance in the selection panel

I wouldn't mind a reduction in first class sides if it meant club cricket would be made stronger. Most of these guys playing at the moment are no-name part timers.

The club game in Zimbabwe used to be vibrant with senior national team players fronting up. I could see a strong club structure forming the basis of our domestic setup, with then Mashonaland, Matabeleland, and a Country Districts (Kwekewe, Mutare, Masvingo) side making up a three team Logan Cup. Australia and NZ after all only have 6 first class teams.

Today I was wondering what ever happened to Brad Wadlan, the next imported hope of the country, and i found out he is playing park cricket in Victoria for a bush cricket team.

This is a level that is equivalent to what i play personally. I'm not exactly Gods gift to the cricketing world.

Brad was very good in the Logan cup last year, and whilst his seasons stats for the Traralgon CC are decent, he isnt owning souls in the way you would expect someone who was competent at first class cricket to be.

This is not a slur on Brad, he's just doing his thing...

But it IS a slur on the domestic first class competition called the Logan Cup. A sydney third grade cricketer should get a gig and do decent, I'm convinced.
