Williams, Sibanda, Chigumbura should be realeased by ZC and be relegated to assistant coaches/player to
The relevant Franchises.
They have been given the longest run at international cricket and have peoduced nothing and were avaliable when we wer thrashed by Afghanitstan.

Let the new younger blood come through in preparation for the next worldcup

I wouldn't paint Mangongo as a Zanoid insider. He is disliked by many within the ZC admin. At least Mangongo calls a spade a spade.

I seriously need to be appointed in a high position both on this forum (admin) and in ZC.

They dont get it. I also sometimes get the impression the fans dont either.

Was the coaching the problem? no.
Was the technical coaching a problem? unlikely
Was the captaincy the problem? barely.

So what is the problem i see you asking at the screen, hands flaying upward as you read this post.

The answer is **P-L-A-Y-E-R F-U-C-K-I-N-G R-E-T-E-N-T-I-O-N**

It is simply not talked about enough in my opinion. Mark my words, this is the crux of the problem.

I only hear about it here when a high profile established name defects 'wahhhh Taylor, wahhhh Jarvis' etc.

What the 'dogg doesnt hear, is the same uproar when the Byroms,Welchs,Ives,O'keefes and the other 70% of the junior base leaves before they even come close to making it.

Its hard to have a big family when you wear a condom every time you go to bed fellas.
We dont nurture the environment that makes them stay. Stars, juniors, junior stars, junior also-rans, they all drift away or defect or actively run.

Whats left is we get rejects who have no other options in cricket, or even in life. Scum like Utseya hang around like flies desperately clinging to anything that pays ten bucks and a meat pie per week.

How is this fixed?
slightly more difficult, but I think this answer would go far to fixing it.

You pay more, and you pay on time. Not just over a period of 3 months, but consistently.

he served a short stint as a lower-order batting consultant to South Africa's Test side

I'm not sure in which universe it makes sense to appoint Attapatu as a batting consultant before a major T20 tournament, and then bring in Klusener when we might actually play Test cricket again.

I wish Makhaya all the best because I think he is a good guy. But I fear he's not much more than a pawn in whatever game ZC is playing. I wonder how long Taibu will stay in his new job: it's hard to believe the new selection panel will be free from the usual ZC interference, and Tibba is certainly not the guy to take it lying down.

Zimdoggy is 100% right. Those of u who think Mangongo would be a good choice as head coach are not thinking straight. He is not a coach nor does he have a vast cricketing knowledge. He is a bully with no clue.

firing whatmore was a decision that had to be made
sooner imho, we clearly were not going anywhere
though he never had a full strength side to work with @
anytime bt the perfomances were not gud enough

however 1 cannot disagree wth what he changed in that
team from being mere losers to losing with hope. That
team was in complete utterbullshit with ngongo as
coach. We were losing matches in as few as 5 - 12 overs
in an odi & the game wld've been a deadgoner already
we were struggling to post 200 on the board against
any team losing to uganda in another match swept under
the carpet by zc. From losing all 8 matches in bangladesh
plus the 3 warmup matches to make it 11 -0. At least
we started competing pushing teams up 2 the 40th
over , posting 200+ regularly, scraping @ least a win
in every series including an incredible 300 total
against new zealand. Whatmore is more of a victim
bcoz the nation & supporters are tired of losing & competing
they want to win, be entertained etc. & 4gettng where
we were b4 dave took over exactly like the zanu party
4gttng what tsvangirai did in 2008 & bringing back
ngongo will also result in the same as our economy
thrashing out gud ppl 4 own interests only to find out
they are rotten from the inside no competitive ministers same
as we dnt hve the players period, the likes chigumbura,
waller, sibanda, mutumbami, panyangara, mupariwa & shocking
of all is we still find the same individuals year in, year out
we lose better players again balance, jarvis, welch,
currans year in & out again & only a fool would do
the same thing over & over again xpecting different results
same as zanu shuffling same old pple, in different positions
to change an economy they themselves have brought
in2 the ground.

Bringing back ngongo will only reflect the horrors the
ppl hve seen b4 him & will realise how much an asset
whatmore was. This can only be a gud decision when
we know who takes over after if ngongo again then zc's
numbered days in international cricket will be halved
his selections moreso leave a lot to think about eg
u19 world cup leaving walter huchu, jaure for milton
shumba, murombo, madhevere etc let alone leaving
curtis , welch evans .
The best zc should do is to tell the present bunch of
players to fuck off & start afresh with sum1 who was not
part of the system b4 in coaching roles same as what our president shld do too

besides the current victims which players should just call it a day and not be considered? I read somewhere that sibanda and waller were initially left out of the bulawayo camp.I personally feel like Chigumbura Chakabva and Raza Along with Waller and Sibanda should be on their last warnings.all decent on their day but the level of complacency they sometimes show (Hami included) is shocking sometimes.terrible example for the youngsters.how can a 32 year old international with 15 years experience run into his batting partner, fail to ground his bat and run with the ball instead of throwing it to the keeper in a space of 3 months?I hope Taibu is harsh on some of these guys.

ironically as much as I hate to admit it Mangongo was the only guy who really got to the senior players and showed them they are not invincible bringing in guys like Moor Jongwe Chari Tiripano and Madziva in the process as well as giving Vermeulen a second chance.we might not like him but there he was right. Makhaya Ntini looks like a great motivator and I'm sure his impact on the young players will be seen. I just want some of these senior guys to follow whatmore out of the team so that they don't influence the likes of Jongwe

I will give Mango credit on trying things selection wise but he was horribly inept at other areas.

I mean, you could be a 21 year old female from Ottawa in Canada that has never heard of cricket to have the mentality that it is a good idea to axe underperforming players and blood youngsters or in form players.

He does deserve credit for it like i said, but this isnt some masterstroke genius move.
