Just to add, Forster Mutizwa still averages very close to 40 in FC, compare that to the so called up and coming exciting talent, most of whom have their averages hovering around 20 after multiple seasons...

Why do people like Williams, Ervine, Cremer, etc. miss these matches so regularly? We've seen people like Hamilton Masakadza, Malcolm Waller and Sibanda rarely miss an FC or a List A match when they are available but it is not the same specially with Williams and Cremer. No point even bringing up Chigumbura. It is good that he is not playing these 4 dayers anyway.

key national players like cremer ervine and Williams have to play these games because they will increase the quality of the competition. when our best bowlers aren't playing that's when you see the likes of hami and waller dominating the domestic circuit. its sad that you only ever see full strength domestic teams just before a tour or world cup. then they start complaining about a lack of match practice.

its also interesting to note that Chari PJ and Musakanda have been really struggling of late.even at domestic level

It was an enthralling day of cricket at KKSC yesterday. The changes in momentum kept you glued, not that there was much of a crowd to keep glued but it was probably the best day's cricket I've seen this season.

Hamilton's batting was outstanding. He has stood out the last two games but really should have been out LBW on the first day. It was only until he left a straight one, stump cartwheeling, that he looked like getting out. Kasuza has also been a pain because he's looked solid and one wonders why he isn't mentioned more often.

I've yet to be given a straight answer as to why Cremer isn't here but it seems it was something to do with the change of the schedule.
Maruma has now been to see a doctor and had an MRI (I believe) and he has a swelling above his left optic nerve. He's on medication to reduce the swelling now. Another example of why our young guys need to learn how to play the short ball. Vitori kept hitting him on the head and this is the result.
Kaitano was left out for Mavhuta as it was supposed to be a spinner's track.
Chinouya was left out as it was decided to go with 3 seamers and 2 spinners. And it's difficult when there's Panyangara, Madziva and Mumba to squeeze yourself in. Mumba may have kept Mike out for longer with his bowling performance yesterday. It's a pity, we like Mike but realistically, can he compete with those 3 guys?
Nyathi, well, borrowed time. His knock yesterday may just save him but what he does today will make or break his future. He's been told that he has one last chance. As for being captain, well, um, I'm not sure how that happened but who else is there? With players coming and going, he's pretty much the only constant in the team.

Prince got sconed and came off retired hurt. He was complaining of being dizzy so went to the doctor. The doc told him that he wasn't concussed but to take it easy. Taking it easy comes naturally to Prince so he did so the whole day. Then yesterday he went to warm ups and did ten minutes before going off into the bushes and puking his guts out. If this is a concussion symptom or a two-plates-for-breakfast issue we don't know but he's now back in Harare. So the question was put out, "Who wants to open?" One lonely voice from the corner piped up. "I'll do it" said the cumbersome fast bowler. Little did we know that Panyangara would pop it straight to Extra Cover first ball. He wanted it and was given it. No one else showed any stones. It also shows that we cannot play the short ball. Two guys hit, two guys out. And it must have been 120kph at most.
