test line up?
Re: test line up?
My test line-up is as follows. I have only included players who are currently available for selection.
1. Hamilton Masakadza
2. Brendan Taylor
3. Sean Williams
4. Tatenda Taibu
5. Craig Ervine
6. Andy Blignaut/Charles Coventry
7. Elton Chigumbura
8. Graeme Cremer
9. Ray Price
10. Edward Rainsford
11. Kyle Jarvis
If Blignaut isn't bowling, I would select Coventry instead as I think he may offer mroe with the bat in a test setting than Blignaut.

Re: test line up?
I think very good team is one that has batsman who can bat for long.
Duffin
Taylor
Masakadza
Williams S
Matsikenyeri or Chibumbura
Chibhabha
Lamb
Taibu
Mawhire
Cremer
Price
Utseya should not play. He is useless.

A talented batsman but a modest, hardworking character, Stuart Matsikenyeri is the third of three school friends from Churchill Boys High School, Harare to represent Zimbabwe in international cricket. - Cricinfo.

Why would one have Matskinyeri in the side when you've got an inform Craig Ervine

And that impresses me the most along with Lamb's exclusioneugene wrote:If Blignaut isn't bowling, I would select Coventry instead as I think he may offer mroe with the bat in a test setting than Blignaut.

Matiskenyeri has proven experience at top level. Craig Ervine is not proved at top level and has small part experience. We are talking test here and not one day thrash.

Ervine is one game wonder at moment. Matsi has been in the team a long time and has lots of experience. He has played many games of longer duration and a few tests and did quite well in them. He has the application and has proven he has the ability.kartik wrote:Sry but what has he proven and when did he prove it?Zimfanatic69 wrote:sloandog wrote:Why would one have Matskinyeri in the side when you've got an inform Craig Ervine

You seem to be Ervine crazy. Perhaps you want to pick Ryan Ervine as well.kartik wrote:Sry but what has he proven and when did he prove it?Zimfanatic69 wrote:sloandog wrote:Why would one have Matskinyeri in the side when you've got an inform Craig Ervine

Ervine or no Evine but Matsikenyari has so often disappointed. Terry Duffin is better than him...if u still persist...i would say Ebrahim can edge him out. You seems to be a Mountaineer fan!!!!

I had Duffin as number 1 to open to take shine off ball.
Mountaineers are ZanuPF team. I like Southern rocks although did not do too well.
