Geez they’ve bowled a lot of spin this innings, just the 5 overs for Myers up front.

The ‘9-2’ is well into effect now

They need to cancel this NZ team and start again. Mediocre at best. Luckily this tournament is held every 2 years

So we need to get a modest total of 199 to win this game. Just need to bat the 50 overs and hope no one tries to be a hero going for the spectacular.

I don’t disagree with the spin part, he’s a clever bowler, but he’s a long long way off Williams as a batsman.
...
He’s not in Williams league, but he’s got time.
Of course I meant replacement for Williams (in his role as middle order bat and almost frontline bowler) in the long term. But when Williams next steps on a ball in warm-ups, twists his left little finger or tears a muscle in his right ear, we shouldn't bother to discuss the merits of Ndlovu or Wellington as SLA options any more.

Bawa looks good doesnt He? Hit some glorious shotsboff the fast bowlers. Needs to be in top 3 as think he needs time to get eye in before teeing off

Yeah he’s played some wonderful shots, been a bit streaky as well though

We’ve seen enough of Bawa (aged 16) already to understand why we’re dealing with here. Utseya has had his head up his arse not playing him here from the outset. He’s just wasted the opportunity to allow Bawa to get comfortable.

Standard operating procedure for junior coaches is to have a night watchman every other batsman to stretch the batting order
