I don't think Chatara is that bowler who can do 20 overs a day anymore. I would be concerned about him being in the test line up. What about easing him in and just playing ODI for now.
Chats is definitely fit enough to do 6 overs a session if you look at it that way. He also looks like the only bowler amongst the pacers who will be very economical and has a fair chance of picking up wickets. The other pacers generally have a boundary ball every over.

What I found interesting about the warm up match was that even though they posted Chatara's wicket, he was going at over 4.5 an over whilst Ngarava got 3 wickets at 2.77 and Blessing was going at 1.4 an over. Jongwe was going for 6 an over . Tiripano also got 3 wickets at 1.8 an over. Chivanga 3.75 an over. Myers at 2.1 an over.

Dont know what to make of those numbers but you would expect the Chatara theory to hold on the international stage even if he was struggling there.

Ngarava nyauchi blessing for me

Then you have toss up between jongwe and tiripano.

But please not both.

We don't need 9 batsmen who may or may not score 20 runs and who definetly won't be taking any 4/5 wicket hauls

I would go with his performance in the 1st SA A test. He was the most economical bowler. Also he was going at around 2.5 or less in his first 18 overs. Then he obviously took some hitting when SA A were now above 450 runs and trying to score quick.

I believe in bowling partnerships. Pressure brings wickets. We can have good pacers in the team but if they leak runs, it is difficult to pick up wickets. DT and Jongwe will be an outlet for batsmen and will be targeted. Eventually all bowlers become useless when the score is now 325-3. Off all the bowlers in the country Chats is in the top 4, and our best 4 bowlers imo should play.

If Chatara is better at bowling than Jongwe and DT I do not see why they should play. The top 7 should get the runs and the bottom 4 get the wickets. A number 8 all rounder will not win us matches. I think that works more in the shorter formats.

I am actually thinking whether Myers with the ball might be a better gamble than Tiripano or Jongwe. Either way Myers has to play in all formats for me

I'd have him in the top 7,with core role being batting, If he can bowl better than DT, that will be a big bonus. Really like DT though , but we need wickets
