this is a much better start then the last game. Good to see that Nglube and Chakabva made good scores, and the team still doesnt have any national players in.

Cremer is captain, second time in only a few months. ZC grooming him for a future leadership role maybe? Match is evenly poised, a good sign considering that Cremer is the only significant change (that I'm aware of?)

Re: Match thread: Board XI v PNCA
Graeme Cremer and Timycen Maruma are legends. They would have to be the unluckiest blokes in the squad though, particularly Cremer. Was our first choice spinner a couple of years ago and performed credibly. Has come on in leaps and bounds since then, added a new dimension to his game (in terms of batting) yet can't break into the national team due to the return of Price and the emergence of Utseya.
Maruma as well. He's shown he has a lot of potential as a spin bowler, is a more than useful batsman... to be honest, I think a bowling attack consisting of Chigumbura, Utseya, Cremer, Maruma, Price is much better on paper than Chigumbura, Utseya, Price, Mpofu and Mupariwa... but you can't play 4 spinners.
Would like to see Cremer continue to work on his batting, if he could somehow reinvent himself as a batting allrounder (at number 6) to break into the first eleven, he could reach superstardom by the end of his career IMO.

This is a much better performance. Its encouraging to see the second string players doing well against fairly strong opposition am particularly impresssed with the two batsman Ngulube and mujuru they were virtually unheard of to me both have done well. There are a number of other players who also have done well I think Kasteni Maruma Chakabva and creamer all are knocking at the doors for national selection especially maruma and creamer. The one thing tht has beeen disapointing is the seam department there doesnt seem to be anything good enough coming through.

Re: Match thread: Board XI v PNCA
Bad bowling in the second innings sees Zimbabwe somehow conspire to lose this one, when they were in a good position for most of it...
Zimbabwe Board XI 328 (Ngulube 91, Talha 4/89) & 304 (Maruma 60, Raheel Majeed 4/80), Pakistan Academy 366 (Fawad Alam 101, Cremer 4/83) & 267/6 (Manzoor 115, Masvaure 2/30). Pakistan Academy win by 4 wickets.

Think we need to get some pace into this squad now. What is wrong with kyle jarvis and kwali ntuli??. they are raw for sure but then that doesnt stop the zim selectors from giving contracts to people who have only played a handfull of games and had minimal success
