At the 2007 CWC I liked what i saw of Ireland. His run up was easy, he swung the ball away from the left handers (and obviously in the the right handers), and it looked effortless. However, every time I've seen him play on TV, he looks like he's REALLY striding to the crease, and looks increasingly off balance, not to mention his pace has dropped significantly.

If he comes back, great! More depth and more quality, but i dont think he's of international standards right now. I'd love to eat humble pie for tea though, so if he proves me wrong, I'm all for it..

He'd still be in the top 5 available pace bowlers available to us if he puts his hand up.

Honest truth, im not lying. I wouldn't do that to the ZCF

I'm jut not that kind of guy.

Fuck you all if u think I'm lying .

Well, he'd be behind... Jarvis, Mpofu... ok, so you're telling the truth.

The Dogg speaks the truth. Ireland is definately top 5 - this doesn't mean he is a great player, but he is one of our top 5 pace bowlers nonetheless.

Would be a good signing for the Rocks. He is better than the seamers they currently have and would strengthen the playing pool of talent in Zim. Ironically if he had returned 2 seasons ago he would have walked into the Zim team; now Jarvis, Chatara, Meth and Vitori (and maybe Manatsa) are all superior seamers. His 2 years of 2nd XI cricket in Middlesex may have ultimately cost him the right to be always titled 'test cricketer'.

I hope he returns.
