What does Jongwe do ?

I suspect that might be the end of Jongwe. His bowling has really fallen off. Evans has also complicated things for him. I suspect that Evans will be the new number 8 but his back ups might be Mavuta or Ainsley Ndlovu or maybe even Mumba instead of Luke. With Mumba Kirby actually has something to work with there. Ainsley looks like he can actually bat a bit these days and Mavuta has dramatically improved with the ball

I also hope that Ngarava realises he has to take his batting just a little bit more seriously and be a number 9 who can hold an end.

Perhaps. But Evans was at worst an equal option to Jongwe, and now it would appear a significantly better option for that role.

Regardless, Jongwe has always been massively overrated on this forum IMO. He averages under 20 with the bat, and over 30 with the ball in both formats. At some point he's got to have a marquee performance to justify the "talent" tag.

Is he not our highest ranked T20 bowler? He came back into the mix nicely but something has just gone wrong over the last 6 or so months

Can Jongwe, only in T20s, be utilized as a No.3 with a license to smash it from ball one? I think it is something that can be tried out. A bit of a Travis Friend kind of a role, in T20s.
