PJ's non-inclusion in this regional series says a lot about how much his relationship with ZC and specifically Hami has collapsed. I think he has very little chance of mending the bridges he has burnt, even if he is 'keeping his options open', which is the latest I've heard.
Hamilton needs to keep out of the petty brigade at ZC. Why has relationship collapsed. Can mediation be done between them?

Why don't they wait for the national guys to get back, they're the ones thst need to practice?
Why don't they include Moor, Byrom and Welch, there's a chance that they will be back at some point?
Why drive all the way to Bulawayo and then play back to back to back?
Give guys a chance to regroup for a week, work on some batting issues etc.

Doesn't make sense.

I accept they're rewarding the guys that did well, but they also need another look at Curran. You surely pick guys that you think can step up. Why not exclude a couple of guys that they know won't make the grade? Maybe they don't know who won't make the grade?

With the batting they've mostly picked the highest run scorers, but with the bowling they've picked Tiripano, Masuku and Faraz who had average campaigns whilst not picking Mufudza, Murombo, Masekesa and Dzikiti who all had better stats. So it's all a bit strange as usual

So when do the national players weigh in on some domestic 50 over stuff? They just don't think it through.

There' supposed to be a 50-over NPL in May just before the WC Qualifiers.

But as for the Afghanistan series, no idea - the national guys will be going in having not played 50 over cricket for months :?

It's just so weird. Who makes these strange selections and decisions?

No idea why Jaure and Akram are in there?

Very harsh on Shingi and mufudza, can only think they are both carrying knocks??

Other than that I think I’m happy with the squads. Look forward to the games, hopefully they are streamed.

Yes, it looks like this option has now been closed for him!

Akram bowls dibbly dobblies, but he bowls a tidy length and gets some swing and is economical1, he's handy, but he will struggle for national selection. We've got 2x 6ft 8 seamers, Evans who is good, Chivanga who is quick, Chatara who has an excellent record, and a couple of others so Akram is down the list, but he's decent.
