I reckon Kaia has just cooked his goose here. Gumbie seems to be doing well and might be getting ahead of him in selection. We might have Ervine move into fill that opening spot with Wes coming in at 3.

Poor Kaia. Looked a million bucks against bangladesh last year and then some good ish scores against west indies in the tests.
Gumbie is in form of his life and peaking at right time. Its a very unlikely event this looking at his previous form but past 12 months he has been bossing it. Good form needs rewarding and still only 27 years of age.
