Apparently the Ireland series just before the WC in Jan might be in Zim now?

They are playing Navi Mumbai state side today, adults I think?

Centuries for Taruvinga and MacMillan. Zim 290/4 off their 50

Well they won by 113 runs!

Hard to know what the standard of opposition is, but beating adult senior sides is always tough.

Zimbabwe U19 appears to be a very decent side. I'm expecting them to make the Super 6 stage and then push for a higher finish from there. Definitely possible.

Maybe but we’ll need to beat Namibia for that and it appears most of their squad are South African-schooled so it might be difficult.

I don’t think our squad is any stronger than the last batch. Probably broadly similar.

I watched the qualifiers and that Namibia side is only average, Uganda have a stronger under 19 side they were just poor in the qualifiers.

Then again it's hard to judge those qualifiers, the pitches were dreadful, like batting in a swamp. Loads of below 100 scores. Only Tanzania made 200 and that was against Sierra Leone
