It will be interesting to see what they do.
Do they go the Brian bennet path
or
the David Bennett path

Just noticed that a national team bowler failed to defend 16 runs in the final over against teenagers. Very very concerning. Mentally a lot of our guys just don't have what it takes to play at the highest level. Make no mistake about it, we take it for granted but at least half the games we play these days are against the very best. That's why I'm also not surprised to see two 39 year olds not immediately getting into rhythm after years off.

Everything would suggest that they are taking their cricket seriously. Moved back to Zim school from SA. Playing every game going at club, U19 or Academy level.

That's my kind of feeling as well. I think Andy also has a pretty good mining business, so they should have less pressure to just go and study.

It's a bit disconcerting that these Pakistani bowlers do seem to be a level above the locals.

There is a 10-team FC comp ongoing in Pakistan at the moment, so in theory these guys are outside of the top 200 cricketers in Pakistan. Granted the un-meritocratic nature of their talent ID is notoriously bad, but still.

I guess anything that raises the standard and competitiveness is good, and they certainly do.
