Good batting performance by the two Eagles bowlers: Garwe and Manyumwa.

Not much to talk about the batting of Southern Rocks excluding the important returns. Robertson scored 55 runs. Tikalo scored 11.

Stephan James Marillier (SJ Marillier) made his FC debut in this match. He is the younger brother of Douglas Marillier. Has played a lot of club cricket matches in UK especially in Warwickshire. He has also represented Derbyshire CCC 2nd XI. So, he has quite a lot significant touch in his cricket skills and experience.

Good to see Craig Ervine back in the Rocks lineup. Though would have liked if he stuck around and made more than 18.

Top bowling efforts by the Eagles. Good to see Greg Lamb picking wickets. To be fair I think he should score more runs as well. Chigumbura picked up 3 wickets and Price took 2 wickets.

Way to go Eagles!!!! They seem to be in a good position here. They should be to looking to extend that lead to 350/370 and look to ball this Rocks side out. Its great to see Chigumbura leading from the front making the runs and taking the wickets. He should one of the best if not the best player in Zimbabwe. Interesting to not how Masvaure is batting higher up the order. Perhaps his modeling himself to be an all rounder. Great batting displays by Garwe and Manyumwa. Its interesting to note that Garwe aslo scored a ton against Afganistan the out and out batsman shld be looking to pull up their socks coz these guys are not playing around. They are truly giving the selectors more than one reason to justify their inclusion in the A' side.
Its also good to see that Rocks are looking to strength their side, but at this point in time their rocks seem to be missing the high flying eagles.

Greg lamb must be ripping his hair out, he has got starts in nearly every innings he has played so far but still has not kicked on to a 50 plus score.

Another good innings by Mutizwa, god the next sqaud announcment is going to be intresting :D

The Eagles is charging in, 6 wickets more to take to win the match.

Greg Lamb scored a significant 41 runs, he should have just carried the innings and turned it into a big one. But better luck, next time.

Forster Mutizwa is indeed in a great form. Another fifty in his name after scoring 78 runs. He definitely should be in the Zimbabwean national squad for the Kenya series.

Douglas Hondo is also picking wickets, good to see.

Stephan Marillier scored 44 runs in his 2nd innings of his debut FC match. Well done ! Hope he will go more and more...But certainly a player to watch out for the future.

A scorecard at last, and a pretty easy win for Eagles

http://www.cricinfo.com/logan-09/engine ... 14296.html

A fairly limited fight from the Rocks batsmen with just Craig Ervine, Steve Tikolo, Steve Marillier and Tafadzwa Kamungozi managing double figures, good figures from Ray Price.

A well deserved win for the Eagles.

From Rocks prospective, good batting by Steve Tikolo who scored 57 runs.

Good to see Craig Ervine scoring runs in his comeback match. After scoring 65 runs and with a good domestic record, I reckon he must be strong contender for the ''A'' side.

No question can be asked over Raymond Price, he has proved it again. A spell of 31-13-57-5 is just excellent ! Well done, LEGEND :D

any Southern Rocks supporters in here? i am one cuz Southern really does Roc wait till the team jells in together
12.4 Odhiambo to Vermeulen, FOUR, that's an appalling long hop, Vermulen had plenty of time to get into position, drink a cup of tea, and pull the ball towards the long leg boundary- his first boundary today

I believe that only kartik and yourself have owned up to being Rockers so far, Sir Mupariwa ;)

You should start up your own Rocks supporters thread, i would suggest that you leave it until after the next round of Logan and Faithwear matches though, we Rhinofans don't like to see the opposition supporters cry in public ......
