Re: Second ODI
From whatever minimal stuff I watched live, it looked like all the players were meandering along with no energy, aim or purpose - right from the beginning of the match! It is a disgusting sight to be honest, there appears to be no pride or purpose for most in the team. Only exception was young Tarisai Musakanda, whose youth and exuberance was there to be seen. Will it stay that way for him after 10-15 matches? Who knows? Other than him, may be some parts of Moor and Raza (in the last match of course) were a bit better. In fact, Raza's exuberance has gone down quite a bit in recent days. We won't win matches against anyone in this mindset and approach.
Re: Second ODI
What record would we have against Afghanistan in the UAE? I doubt we would come close to winning a game.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

Re: Second ODI
i think if zimbabwe went in with attitude they would do well.
if zim played new zealand theyd lose by 60 runs.
if they played against the terrorists they would lose by 60 runs too.
thats mental bro.
afghanistan and nz are world apart but you donty see it in zim. if they went in thinkig they were kings theyd dominate. black pride.

of course it has to do with the talent as well ..but this time bcci took special interest and had a chat with franchisee to put names of afghans players ..BCCI gave them their home ground ..why they dont do it for any other nation ..its cause Afghanistan is india's best friend in the subcontinent

More to do with the fact that Afg did decently at WC. Done decently ever since. If it was just because of friendship then why pay 4 crore for a guy with base price 0.5 crore?
Anyway important thing is he got picked. I hope he lives up to the expectations.
