What a clinical performance, all our bowlers were exceptional, Curran, Welch, Raza and Evans strong stuff with the bat and really good keeping by Tsiga, what a great game! Keep the momentum going into the T20s and beat them boys, need to stamp our authority over them at home

An all round performance as well, everyone chipped in.

I’d have give Brad MoM because the first innings was crucial, but they always favour the batsmen.

If we were to have another game I wouldn’t make a change to that 11. Then in spin friendly conditions you just replace Tk for Masekesa or whichever spinner is in form.

Even if Naqvi was available I wouldn’t pick him ahead of anybody else in that 11, plus there is Williams to come back (hopefully) at some point.

By the way we have to acknoledge that this Afhanistan was bereft of Rashid Khan and a few others.

On the other hand this Zimbabwe would have won even against Afghanistan with all its stars. Not by an innings but still a win.

Last January Afghanistan drew and then defeated Zimbabwe. Last February Ireland defeated Zimbabwe.
In the meantime a lot of matches have been played, some with huge loss, but the workload has been conducive to a much more competitive team as Zimbabwe is today.
