For 6 figures you can call me what you like and I'll give you a hug and a kiss afterwards.in fact I'll give you 20%. You can have ten free punches and you can piss on my head from the balcony whilst shouting any obscenity or racial slur of your choosing, I care not one jot.

Privilege? Dont make me laugh. We're down to 20 000 "privileged" people here, 90% of whom are involved in a daily struggle. Been like that for more than 30 years.
You have zero idea of how skewed the playing field is in all aspects. We get on with it because there's no recourse, if there was I'd suspect most would just face the front, put it down to a bad experience and just get on with it.
I could give you pages of evidence of what constitutes privilege.

Re: Gary Ballance Statement
I guess in the end it will depend on whether he shows remorse or not. There are a lot of foul people involved in cricket. Expect a dozen more names to be mentioned over the next year or so and we will see if they ban valuable players
He just mentioned that Joe Root and Ballance were housemates. Do you think if sombody comes out accusing Joe Root of racism he will get banished? If they are consistent with it and ban everybody then I agree Ballance shouldn't come back. It's so easy to ban Ballance and Hales at this stage of their career but then when you give Ollie Robinson a pass for racism then I don't see what wrong with us taking Ballance. Let's see what happens if a big name is caught up in this.

Well he forgave Hogaard for calling him a kaffir because he "liked" him. Clearly he doesn't mind that word too much?
Clearly being racist about others is not as much of an issue as it is towards his own. That's not really in the spirit of reconciliation is it?
Yet happy to skewer Ballance? He's fingered a lot of people, but Ballance is getting the brunt of it. The other blokes are praying they will get away with being half pregnant.

Same comment- it's not just about one group of people. Ideally you should be showing concern about the issue at large and not just how its affected Asians.CholeZimbo wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 8:20 amSorry Taps, but just because it is not affecting you directly won't make this right. We also have an Asian community in Zim and around Zim cricket, how would they feel. Morals are bigger than cricket. At this rate you would accommodate a sex offender just because you are not a woman and because they can, regardless, improve cricket in your country.TapsC2 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 7:36 amI personally want him back. He is a good cricketer and we have a shortage of those. He is 32 this month, we can get another 4 years out of him.CholeZimbo wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 7:25 am
What are you saying gents? Are you happy with him coming back to play cricket in Zim regardless, or are you saying ZC will be foolish as usual and have him back after a few photo ops? Balance me here, excuse the pun.
England have been poaching players for decades. This issue honestly has nothing to do with us and at this stage we don't
know if all these allegations are true or not. Nobody cares anymore, the public has convicted him. We should never let our emotions overpower our intelligence. Ollie Robinson is still playing for England, they only banned him for 8 games.
We also have a miniscule white community and a larger black community, many of whom would have a story to tell, especially if there was a £200k reward at the end of it and to bury someone you don't like who's given you a hard time in the past.
I'm not condoning past behaviour at all. The problem with it is that there's a helluva lot of guilty people of all colours if everything came out in the wash. How long will this mud slinging go on for. We just need one white guy to take the plunge in UK and mention whats been said to him to see what this is really about. Theres plenty here and SA, but they would be crucified.
The cat is out of the bag now, but really people just need to take a teaspoon of cement and get on with it.
This Rafiq fellow, if he's not careful, is going to get caught up in some of his own stories if the media stops climbing on the band wagon.

Dont know how much this matters but Ballance Im pretty sure was referring to all people of colour as Kevin or something lol. Would Zim still be alright with that?CholeZimbo wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 8:20 amSorry Taps, but just because it is not affecting you directly won't make this right. Wasn`t Ballance doing more things than the rest though? Makes sense then that Ballance gets screwed over more?Googly wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 9:09 amWell he forgave Hogaard for calling him a kaffir because he "liked" him. Clearly he doesn't mind that word too much?

ZC will not be that stupid to have him around their setup. They are foolish, but not to such an extent. Especially with their good relations with India and Pakistan.slcricfan1 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 11:16 amDont know how much this matters but Ballance Im pretty sure was referring to all people of colour as Kevin or something lol.
