Bennett is a future star if Zimbabwe can hold on to him, this is pleasing to see J Campbell is doing his bit but atm he is another spin bowling all rounder, and hence cannot find a place in the side because of better and more experienced options, his chance should come once Willo and Sikki retire. Mayavo we have to see how he develops, looks a fine talent too.

Another bowler who has looked good is Masuku, and Nyauchi is a very fine bowler too, it is great to see these two in reserves for now and shows Zimbabwe do have the bowling depth.

Watched Bennett. He doesn't move his feet and he's a while off from national selection but what I saw today was very encouraging. He has serious hand eye power and those drives through the covers from their quickest bowler was a statement in itself. One for the future for sure.

Mayavo and Campbell were looking good too. Look like the latter had a poor decision against him.

This Netherlands team is not the genuine thing at all. Only ONE member of it (Klaasen) was actually born in the country, as far as I can find out. It makes a complete farce of ICC qualification rules.

I guess we shouldn't let Raza play for us then  Or Ben Curran in future?

Of the team that played today; O'Dowd, Singh, M Ahmed, S Ahmad, Dutt, van Meekeren and Kingma all either born in the Netherlands or grew up there and came through their system.

He's a bit raw but I wouldn't be waiting too long to get him in , there are only 6 batsman who are certainties at the moment.

I’m very keen to see what Dave does with his lineup for tomorrow in regards to how he fits everyone in?

The fact he’s picked both Wellington & Mavuta suggests we will see a front line spinner rather than a combination of Burl & Wes along with Raza & Williams.

Will we see Marumani open & keep? Would solve a lot of issues but the concern is can he perform in both roles. Unlikely since he’s struggled at this level fullstop.

The Dutch’s main strength is their pace bowling, especially their new ball bowling, so it really will be a tough challenge for Maru if he were to open.

Other option is to see one of Ervine or Ballance open, but let’s wait & see, there’s always the possibility that Raza misses the first game & we have to wait another game to see which way Dave goes.

Also if interest to see which 3 pace bowlers we go with? Will we see Blessing with Chatara & Ngarava, or will Evans play as the bowling all-rounder & Chatara or Ngarava carry the drinks?

No disrespect to the front line spinners but surely you can get 20-30 overs out of Raza, Williams and Burl and pick 3 seamers. This enables you to play an extra batsman which will be handy and if it means Wes plays then you have another spin option.

I agree.
We've got very capable spin bowling all round options especially with the emergence of Burl as a better bowler in recent times. It wouldn't hurt to chunk in an extra pacer or go with blessing, richie and evans because it helps with batting lower down the order too. We know how crucial it is for teams like Zimbabwe. Evans needs to come in handy with the bat. It will be required in the qualifiers.
